10:45am  Do I Really Need HAZWOPER to Clean Up That Spill?

Different spills require different levels of response...do your people have the right training to deal with different types of spills? Knowing the qualifications required to clean up spills is important to safeguard the health of responders, control costs, and to protect your company in case of litigation. Understaning how spill status, spill definition (incidental or emergency), and presence of hazardous substances changes training requirements for respondents is key to effectively managing spill response.

In this presentation we will discuss conflict, the different views and how to manage conflict to an effective outcome. Participants will take a survey to understand what their preferred method of conflict management is. We will then discuss each method (avoid, accommodate, compromise, compete and collaborate) the advantages and disadvantages of each and when they can be put to their best use.

Generic lockout devices can at times be an ineffective means of isolating hazardous energy.  3D printing may be a cost-effective way to create custom lockout devices that are durable, substantial, and fit precisely. This presentation will describe a successful case study, current technology, and potential uses.

An overview session on how focusing your thoughts and thinking differently will improve your business and bottom line.  By establishing your vision and moving toward it daily, you can accomplish anything.  Glenn shares the tips and techniques from Success Aikido he learned from his early years as a research manager at Coors, his own entrepreneurial ventures in product development, and in recovering from a severe traumatic brain injury suffered in a bicycling accident.

What is Stormwater Management, the steps involved in planning, designing, construction, and inspection of stormwater management. What are BMP's and how are they used. What are the regulations involved in stormwater.​

3:00pm  How to Dress for ANY Workplace

This session will help men and women undersatand guidelines for dressing in the workplace. It will cover Business Formal, Business Casual, and what to wear in a casual or variable work environment. This is an interactive presentation with clothes brought in for examples of each scenario. You will learn the best pieces to have to put together a staple business wardrobe and which pieces are worth investing in.
